Minnesota Food Helpline
Call the Minnesota Food HelpLine (1-888-711-1151) if you or anyone you know does not have enough food. When you call the HelpLine you will learn if you qualify for SNAP, receive enrollment assistance, and find emergency food assistance closest to you. SNAP is the new name for Food Stamps or Food Support as it is known in Minnesota. You may want to check your eligibility again because you may now qualify to receive benefits! In Minnesota, 757,000 people are eligible, but only 454,000 are enrolled in SNAP.
For new Food Support (SNAP) applications and ongoing Food Support recertifications processed on and after November 1, 2010, the following changes will be applied:
• The gross income limit will increase
• No assets will be counted
