Volunteer Opportunities

Grand Rapids Food Shelf
Restock, assist clients, cleanup. Time Commitment: Weekdays, 2 - 5 hours.

Food Support Outreach Volunteer
Inform, screen and/or provide application assistance to potential Food Support applicants.  Time Commitment: Flexible, depending on volunteers' availability and program needs.

Repack Room
Repack bulk and assorted products. Time Commitment: Mon - Thurs. 8:30am to 10:00am or other times by arrangement.

MAC & NAPS
Pack commodity food boxes. Time Commitment: Weekdays   Special arrangements made for volunteer groups and organizations.

Mobile Pantry
Drive the food bank truck to rural sites for food delivery. Time Commitment: Weekdays.

Plant To Plate Project
Weed, water & harvest   produce from garden beds at U of M Outreach Station. Time Commitment: June - September; any amount of time available.

Kids Packs To Go
Assemble grocery bags with  kid friendly foods. Time Commitment: 2 - 3 hours; mornings of  the last Monday and Tuesday of  each month.

Itasca Holiday Program
Pack food boxes or toy bags, assist with distribution, bulk mailings. Time Commitment: Weekend, evening & weekday options in November & December.
