Grand Rapids Food Shelf

The Grand Rapids Food Shelf is Second Harvest North Central Food Bank's onsite food shelf. Hunger and low food security are real issues in the communities we serve in the greater Grand Rapids area. Over the last several years, the number of households served by local food shelves has nearly doubled.

The Grand Rapids Food Shelf relies on donated funds and grants. The Food Shelf also accepts donated food. More than 85% of the food distributed is from Second Harvest North Central Food Bank. Donations from retails stores, organizations and individuals help supplement what food is needed, but monetary donations are what really make the difference. It is because of the generous support of the community, families receive enough food to to prepare balanced meals.

The Grand Rapids Food Shelf hours are:

Monday through Thursday from 11:00am to 3:30pm

Fridays from 10:00am until 12:00pm

*First Tuesday of the month 11:00am to 5:30pm
